About the Attorney
After eight years of experience as a corporate counsel and litigation attorney, in 2008 Douglas Rand Peacock, Jr. founded Rand Peacock, P.A, a law firm focusing in Foreclosure Defense, Family Law and Consumer Litigation.
His legal career began as Corporate Counsel to VBNet Incorporated. Mr. Peacock next worked as a Contracts Attorney for H.T.E., Inc. In 2002 he joined the insurance defense firm of Hightower and Associates, in their Orlando branch. In 2005 he was transferred to St. Petersburg to start their new office in the Tampa Bay area. In 2007 Mr. Peacock joined Kahn and Associates, a multi-state firm specialized in consumer law where he served as the leader attorney in Florida.
Mr. Peacock obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Florida in 1996 and immediately after enrolled at the Florida State University College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1999. While in Law School, he served as Technical Editor for the FSU Journal of Transnational Law & Policy and as Chief Judge to the Lower Student Court. In addition, Mr. Peacock was a research assistant to Professor Jim Rossi.
Mr. Peacock graduated from Winter Park High School in 1991. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1989. While attending the University of Florida, Mr. Peacock was an editorial cartoonist for the Independent Florida Alligator, and Secretary for the local Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity chapter.
